In this tutorial we'll try to create an empty rectangle selection and to add smooth edges to it. Neste tutorial vamos tentar criar uma seleção retângulo vazio e adicionar bordas lisas para ele.
There are several methods to accomplish this task, but only one of them worked best in my case. Existem vários métodos para realizar essa tarefa, mas apenas um deles funcionou melhor no meu caso.

Step 1: Select the rounded rectangle tool Passo 1: Selecione a ferramenta retângulo arredondado

Click and drag to draw a rectangle with your preferred size. Clique e arraste para desenhar um retângulo com o seu tamanho preferido.

Step 4: Make a selection from your rectangle path Passo 4: Faça uma seleção de seu caminho retângulo

Right click on your just drawn rectangle and select 'Make selection'. Clique direito sobre o retângulo de desenhar e selecione "Fazer seleção.

Now a popup window will show up asking you for some values. Agora, uma janela popup irá aparecer pedindo para alguns valores. Make sure that 'Rendering'->'Feather radius: is set to 0 and 'Rendering'->'Anti-aliased' and 'Operation'->'New Selection' are checked. Now right click on your rectangle selection tool and select 'Stroke'. In the popup window set your preferred values. Agora clique direito em sua ferramenta de seleção retângulo e selecione "Stroke". Na janela de definir seus valores preferenciais. I suggest you choose the location of the stroke to be 'Inside', because if you choose the other values your rectangle will slightly expand.
