I remember that a good application on Windows was HDD Doctor, which gave a plenitude of useful information about the hard disk status. אני זוכר כי יישום טוב ב-Windows היה בחיבור הדוקטור, אשר נתן גודש של מידע שימושי על מצב הדיסק הקשיח. Now in Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 there is a similar application which shows important information about the status of the hard-disk installed on the system (such as hard disk temperature,model number, total uptime,bad sectors…). עכשיו ב-Ubuntu 9.10 קואלה קרמתי יש יישום דומה אשר מציג מידע חשוב על מצב של הדיסק הקשיח מותקן על המערכת (כגון טמפרטורה הדיסק הקשיח, מספר הדגם, Uptime סה"כ, סקטורים פגומים ...). To check out this nifty utility, go to System -> Administration -> Disk Utility . כדי לבדוק את השירות הזה nifty, ללכת ל-System -> Administration -> Disk Utility.
