In order to upgrade your Ubuntu operating system from the 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) version to the latest (but still in beta) version 9.10 (Karmic Koala) you'll have to open the Run Application window (ALT+F2) and enter update-manager -d in the input field. The upgrade is ~930MB so be ready to wait some time for the files to download and install. L'aggiornamento è ~ 930MB quindi essere pronti ad aspettare qualche tempo per i file da scaricare e installare. It might take you about 30 minutes to  1 hour for the upgrade to complete successfully if you have a good connection to the Internet.
