I've switched to Firefox 3.5.3 on Ubuntu from Firefox 3.1 and I was surprised how fast and optimized the new Firefox is. Aku sudah beralih ke Firefox 3.5.3 pada Ubuntu dari Firefox 3.1 dan saya terkejut betapa cepat dan dioptimalkan Firefox baru. When browsing with several (more than 10) tabs at once with Firefox 3.1, RAM usage went up to 1.3 GB!! Saat browsing dengan beberapa (lebih dari 10) tab sekaligus dengan Firefox 3.1, penggunaan RAM naik ke 1,3 GB!! That is why I had to upgrade my PC with 2 more GB of RAM. Itu sebabnya saya harus meng-upgrade PC saya dengan 2 GB RAM lebih banyak.
Now I can open as many tabs I want with Firefox 3.5.3 (though I never tried to do it with more than 20 tabs at once), but the RAM usage will never exceed 400MB. Sekarang aku dapat membuka banyak tab yang saya inginkan dengan Firefox 3.5.3 (meskipun saya tidak pernah mencoba melakukannya dengan lebih dari 20 tab sekaligus), tetapi penggunaan RAM akan pernah melebihi 400MB. Kudos to Mozilla developers who keep improving the best browser ever existing. Kudos to Mozilla pengembang yang tetap meningkatkan browser terbaik yang pernah ada.
PS to Ubuntu people: Firefox 3.5.3 is still not officially available in the Ubuntu distro. PS untuk Ubuntu orang: Firefox 3.5.3 masih belum secara resmi tersedia di distro Ubuntu.
