I remember that a good application on Windows was HDD Doctor, which gave a plenitude of useful information about the hard disk status. Lembro que unha boa aplicación no Windows foi HDD Doutor, que deu unha plenitude de información útil sobre o status do disco duro. Now in Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 there is a similar application which shows important information about the status of the hard-disk installed on the system (such as hard disk temperature,model number, total uptime,bad sectors…). To check out this nifty utility, go to System -> Administration -> Disk Utility . Para comprobar esta ferramenta moi legal, vai a Sistema -> Administración -> Utilidade de disco.
