In this tutorial we're going to apply a pattern to a custom selection. Dans ce tutoriel, nous allons appliquer un motif à une sélection personnalisée. I chose to apply the US flag to a custom selection made to fit the US territory on the map. J'ai choisi d'appliquer le drapeau américain à une sélection sur mesure pour s'adapter au territoire nord-américain sur la carte.

Now, with the help of the Lasso Tool I made the custom selection to “fit” the US territory. Maintenant, avec l'aide de l'outil Lasso j'ai fait le choix personnalisé pour s'adapter à l'environnement du territoire américain.

Probably you have noticed that the custom selection contains the surrounding oceans also. Vous avez probablement remarqué que la sélection personnalisée contient les océans qui entourent aussi. To eliminate the waters from the selection I use the Magic Wand tool. Pour éliminer les eaux de la sélection je utiliser l'outil Baguette magique. With the left Alt key pressed I removed the transparent pixels from the selections (these are the waters). Avec la touche Alt de gauche enfoncée, j'ai enlevé les pixels transparents à partir des sélections (ce sont ces eaux). So now I end up with this selection, which is much better: Alors maintenant, je me retrouve avec cette sélection, qui est beaucoup mieux:

Now right click on the custom selection and select Layer via copy . Maintenant, cliquez droit sur la sélection personnalisée et Layer sélectionner via copie. A new layer will be created containing the custom shape (in my case the territory of the US). Un nouveau calque sera créé contenant la forme personnalisée (dans mon cas sur le territoire des États-Unis).

Now right click on the new layer and select Blending Options . Maintenant, faites un clic droit sur le nouveau calque et sélectionnez les options de fusion.

Now click on Pattern overlay from the new window. Maintenant, cliquez sur incrustation de motif de la nouvelle fenêtre.

Now select the Pattern picker . Maintenant, sélectionnez le sélecteur de Pattern.

Now select your preffered pattern. Maintenant, sélectionnez votre modèle preffered. I chose the US flag pattern. J'ai choisi le modèle drapeau américain.

Now scale the pattern to best fit your layer. Maintenant, l'échelle de la structure en fonction de votre calque.

Click Ok to dismiss the Blending Options window. Cliquez sur OK pour fermer la fenêtre d'options de fusion.

Save your settings Sauvegarder vos paramètres

Now select both layers in order to merge them. Maintenant, sélectionnez les deux couches afin de les fusionner. Click on one of them, then by pressing the CTRL key, choose the second one. Cliquez sur l'un d'eux, puis en appuyant sur la touche CTRL enfoncée, choisissez la seconde.

Now right click on any one of the two layers and select Merge Layers . Maintenant, faites un clic droit sur l'une des deux couches et sélectionnez Fusionner les calques.

That's it! That's it! For a better look I added the Drop shadow effect to the layer. Pour une meilleure apparence j'ai ajouté l'effet d'ombre portée au calque.
