I've switched to Firefox 3.5.3 on Ubuntu from Firefox 3.1 and I was surprised how fast and optimized the new Firefox is. Olen läinud Firefox 3.5.3 Ubuntu alates Firefox 3.1 ja olin üllatunud, kui kiiresti ja optimeeritud uue Firefoxi. When browsing with several (more than 10) tabs at once with Firefox 3.1, RAM usage went up to 1.3 GB!! Sirvimisel mitu (rohkem kui 10) kaarte korraga koos Firefox 3.1, RAM kasutamist läks kuni 1,3 GB! That is why I had to upgrade my PC with 2 more GB of RAM. Seetõttu oli mul uuendada mu arvutiga veel 2 GB RAM.
Now I can open as many tabs I want with Firefox 3.5.3 (though I never tried to do it with more than 20 tabs at once), but the RAM usage will never exceed 400MB. PS to Ubuntu people: Firefox 3.5.3 is still not officially available in the Ubuntu distro. PS Ubuntu inimesed: Firefox 3.5.3 ei ole veel ametlikult saadaval Ubuntu distributsiooni. Firefox 3.5 will be officially supported in the 9.10 version Karmic Koala. Firefox 3,5 on ametlikult toetatud 9,10 versioon Karmic Koala. Until then you can download and use Firefox 3.5 from the synaptic package manager, it's called Shiretoko. Seni saate alla laadida ja kasutada Firefox 3.5 alates sünaptilise package manager, seda nimetatakse Shiretoko.
