I've switched to Firefox 3.5.3 on Ubuntu from Firefox 3.1 and I was surprised how fast and optimized the new Firefox is. Jeg har skiftet til Firefox 3.5.3 on Ubuntu fra Firefox 3.1 og jeg var overrasket over, hvor hurtigt og optimeret den nye Firefox er. When browsing with several (more than 10) tabs at once with Firefox 3.1, RAM usage went up to 1.3 GB!! Når du gennemser med flere (mere end 10) faner på én gang med Firefox 3.1, RAM forbrug gik op til 1,3 GB! That is why I had to upgrade my PC with 2 more GB of RAM. Derfor er jeg nødt til at opgradere min PC med yderligere 2 GB RAM.
Now I can open as many tabs I want with Firefox 3.5.3 (though I never tried to do it with more than 20 tabs at once), but the RAM usage will never exceed 400MB. Nu kan jeg åbne så mange faner jeg vil med Firefox 3.5.3 (selvom jeg aldrig har forsøgt at gøre det med mere end 20 faner på én gang), men det hukommelsesbrugen aldrig vil overstige 400 MB. That's a whopping decrease in RAM usage with 70%. Det er en kæmpestor fald i RAM-forbrug med 70%.
