How to play online radio stations in Exaile if the application won't open the .pls file ? Hvordan man spiller online radiostationer i Exaile hvis ansøgningen ikke vil åbne. Pls fil?

Sometimes Exaile won't open some .pls files. Sommetider Exaile vil ikke åbne nogle. Pls filer. That is because it doesn't recognize the format of some playlists, but that doesn't mean that the playlist  is incorrect. Det er fordi den ikke anerkender det format, nogle spillelister, men det betyder ikke, at den spilleliste er forkert.

In order to listen to online radio stations in Exaile download your playlist to your desktop. For at lytte til online radiostationer i Exaile hente din spilleliste til skrivebordet. In my case I downloaded the playlist for the MegapolisFM radio station from http://78.24.50.58:8000/listen.pls . I mit tilfælde jeg hentede spilleliste for MegapolisFM radiostation fra http://78.24.50.58:8000/listen.pls. Save your playlist to your desktop. Gem din spilleliste til skrivebordet.

Open your playlist with a text editor. Åben din spilleliste med en teksteditor. For example use Gedit: For eksempel bruger gedit:


cd ~/Desktop
gedit listen.pls


Replace listen.pls with the name of your own playlist. Erstat listen.pls med navnet på din egen spilleliste.

Now copy the streaming url from the opened file. Nu kopiere streaming url fra den åbnede filen. The url structure should be similar to the one in the image below: Url struktur bør svare til den, der på billedet nedenfor:

Now switch to the Exaile window. Nu skifte til Exaile vinduet. Select the Radio tab from the left (like in the image below) and click on the add button: Vælg Radio fanen fra venstre (som på billedet nedenfor), og klik på knappen Tilføj:

A window will pop up. Et vindue vil poppe op. Fill in the fields with your preferred name and description, but in the third field paste the URL you have just copied from the .pls file. Udfyld felterne med dine foretrukne navn og beskrivelse, men i det tredje felt indsæt webadressen, du netop har kopieret fra. Pls fil. Click Ok . Klik på OK.

After this double click your just added radio station from the Saved stations drop down menu, select your radio station from the playlist, press the Play button. Efter dette skal du dobbeltklikke på din netop tilføjet radiostation fra Gemte stationer rullemenuen, vælg din radiostation fra afspilningslisten, skal du trykke på knappen Afspil.
