In order to upgrade your Ubuntu operating system from the 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) version to the latest (but still in beta) version 9.10 (Karmic Koala) you'll have to open the Run Application window (ALT+F2) and enter update-manager -d in the input field. Per tal d'actualitzar el sistema operatiu Ubuntu des de la 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) a l'última versió (tot i que encara en versió beta) versió 9.10 (Kármico Koala) haurà d'obrir la finestra Executar una aplicació (Alt + F2) i entrar en update -- manager-D en el camp d'entrada. Hit enter. Premeu Retorn. [ad]You'll be asked whether you'd like to update to the latest version, accept an agreement… I suggest you select the main server from United States in Software Sources , because if you choose something else, the upgrade might fail. [anunci] se us preguntarà si voleu actualitzar a la darrera versió, acceptar un acord ... li suggereixo que seleccioneu el servidor principal d'Estats Units a fonts de programari, ja que si decideix una altra cosa, l'actualització pot fallar. The upgrade is ~930MB so be ready to wait some time for the files to download and install. L'actualització és ~ 930MB tal d'estar preparats per esperar algun temps per que els arxius a descarregar i instal lar. It might take you about 30 minutes to  1 hour for the upgrade to complete successfully if you have a good connection to the Internet. Pot trigar uns 30 minuts a 1 hora per a l'actualització per completar amb èxit si té una bona connexió a Internet.
