Total HD2

Both the HTC HD2 and the new Motorola Droid are two brilliant mobile phones, each having their own pluses and minuses. HTC HD2 has a fast processor, big screen and weighs less, whereas Motorola Droid has more battery power, better video recording quality, and a better quality of the display. My conclusion is that HTC HD2 is best for surfing the Internet, working with documents, and acting as a better game console than Droid. Droid on its own, is best at recording quality videos, and offering more operating time. My personal choice would be definitely HTC HD2.

You wrote wrong data for Droid, for example resolution – not 400×854, but 480×854.
“HTC HD2 is best for surfing the Internet, working with documents“ – buahaha, did you actually compared real phones? Android was build for working with web, and you can really feel it when you use, nothing like sluggish windows mobile ;)

Thanks for pointing out that resolution error.
As for which is better for web browsing, I am sure that HTC HD2 renders pages faster than Droid, offering a better user experience. Why? Because it has a CPU twice as fast as Droid's.

And next thing that misleads people – they look at cpu clock, that isn't proportional to real cpu speed – for example ARM Cortex A8 550MHz from Motorola Droid is about 3 times faster than Qualcomm 528MHz from other previous devices (eg HTC Hero). CPU Speed isn't everything, huge influence on speed has software itself.

HTC HD2 does not have a Qualcomm cpu anymore. It has now a Snapdragon cpu running @ 1GHz frequency. Compared to previous versions of HTC, HD2 is much, much faster and responsive.

open source OS resulted in a tie with a closed source OS???

Oh ya… processors are not all built equal… Look at AMD compared to INTEL 2ghz AMD != 2ghz Intel

It IS STILL qualcomm, snapdragon is a type of processor manufactured by them. It is based on the similar core as cortex a8, but they went into mhz instead of effectivity. That's why cortex's 550 mhz is comparable in speed to qualcomm's 1 ghz. Unfortunately qualcomm's processors represents quality of pentium 4. :/

  • what nexus?

The droids cpu is only 550mhz.. but I've seen it in action against the 1ghz snap dragon..and it is def. not twice as slow. The processor is one or two seconds faster at loading web pages..some people that's a lot..in my opinion..woopee. The droid can tether..this feature was disabled cuz vzw is a meany head..but you can root the phone and enable that..you can also enable multi touch capabilities. also you left out the fact that the droid has a completely free navigation service..i dont think the hd2 does. the droid has Bluetooth® technology v2.1 + EDR not 2.0.. I'm going to state right now that this is from back in november so with obvious updates of firmware and what not things do change..but some of the things i've stated are straight from first delivery..so ya..I with the screen on the droid was a little bigger..but I also know indoing that will kill battery power..the processor isn't slow at all..and can be oc..but that will also kill battery power..I think the droids better.
