OMG: Sony Playstation 3 smahed into a Bravia TV

“OMG, dude, they’ve smashed a PlayStation 3 into a Bravia TV!” “OMG, that was cool!”, and so the video spreads at viral speeds. This is the marketing technique that Sony Australia makes use of, trying to promote their new Bravia TV set. Tested on a car-smashing zone, the PS 3 was launched at 80 km/hr (22 meters/hr) into a brand new Bravia TV. Weighing only 3.2KG, the impact of the two devices resulted in a force of 7744Newtons (790KG) by PS3 on the Bravia TV.

Just wondering, why didn’t they save the PS3 from falling down off the TV set? I am sure it would still have been functional
