Web news: Social website toolbars that help your visitors better interact with your online product

I’ve noticed many website owners have started implementing bottom toolbars on their pages. Even though I don’t really like how they look, they seem to offer some good features for visitors. The installation of such toolbar is pretty quick and simple and it shouldn’t take more that 5 minutes.
Here are some benefits you’ll get from putting a social toolbar on your website:
- Easily customize your toolbar so it fits perfectly in your website’s design.
- It offers a quick way of searching your website (the search bar is visible right at the bottom of the page, no need to scroll)
- Offer the possibility to your visitors to quickly translate your website into their native language.
- Share pages with a click of the mouse on famous social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter or Digg
- Notify your readers about events, contests, promotions… right from the toolbar.
- Play games
- Chat with your friends on Facebook, AOL or Meebo right from the toolbar
I may have skipped some features, because I myself am not a fan of these toolbars, but if you know some more, let us know with a comment below.
Two of the companies I know offering social toolbars are Wibiya and Meebo:
